Libya contains some of the most extraordinary Roman ruins in the world — Leptis Magna is widely considered the finest preserved Roman city anywhere, eclipsing Pompeii and Ephesus. Libya has five UNESCO World Heritage Sites. However, Libya has been in a state of conflict and political division since 2011. Africa Milestone classifies Libya as RED status and does not offer tours. This profile documents Libya’s extraordinary potential for when stability returns.
