Sapo National Park contains West Africa’s largest intact primary rainforest and one of the continent’s strongest pygmy hippo populations. The Atlantic coast has some of the most dramatic surf beaches in Africa. Harper, in the southeast, is a faded colonial town of remarkable atmosphere. Liberia is undergoing post-conflict development but infrastructure remains limited.
