Practical Notes
- Great Migration timing: River crossings July–October (Mara). Calving season January–February (Southern Serengeti).
- Tanzania park fees: Must be itemised separately — Serengeti $70/person/day, Ngorongoro $70/person/day.
- Zanzibar: 20-min flight from Dar es Salaam or 2hr ferry. Flying recommended.
- Currency: Kenyan Shilling (KES) and Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). USD widely accepted in safari sector.
